American Recovery and Reinvestment Act The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law by President Barack Obama on February 17, 2009. The ARRA is a wide-ranging effort to jumpstart the weakened economy and to lay the groundwork for developing an economy that will be able to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Wisconsin Office of Recovery and Reinvestment Governor Doyle created the Wisconsin Office of Recovery and Reinvestment to ensure that In addition to providing funds to state-administered programs, the federal stimulus legislation also provides funding to many programs and initiatives that will be directly awarded by the federal government to Tribal governments. While the State of Specific information on these programs, along with more detailed descriptions of the programs and, in certain instances, additional links and contact information, can be found online at http://recovery.wisconsin.gov. Tribal governments are eligible to participate in many ARRA programs.
